Reviewing - Dainty Doll

In my recent Dainty Doll haul, the lipstick to receive the most attention appeared to be Couture so I thought I would review that one first.

All the Dainty Doll products come in sleek black packaging, however unlike the rest of the line, the lipsticks come in solid metal casings and feel very luxurious to the touch. As I mentioned before, the only fault in my eyes is the lack of shade name printed anywhere on the product. 

Couture is a beautiful deep red that can be worn as a light stain or built up to an opaque finish. Although quite a dark colour it has a warmth to it that stops it from washing out fair skin tones. 

The formula is perfectly light weight with next to no bleeding when applied without a lip liner. Each lipstick contains natural plant wax, vitamin E and moisturising meadow foam seed oil. 

Wear time with any lipstick is different from person to person and I find will vary day to day depending on different circumstances. 

Dainty Doll is not tested on animals. 

For reference, I always apply some lip balm and a thin layer of either concealer or foundation to nude out the lip before putting on any lip colour.

Wearing - L'oreal Rouge Caresse

My Lip of the Day posts will now be titled "Wearing" and today I am wearing one of the L'oreal Rouge Caresse lipsticks in 101 Tempting Lilac. This is my favourite colour out of all the Caresse lipsticks I own and a really easy colour to wear.

Buying - Dainty Doll

It probably hasn't escaped your attention recently that all the pale faced lovelies of the beauty world have been rushing to get their hands on some bargain Dainty Doll goodies. Being an avid bargain hunter and porcelain skinned lady I jumped straight on that band wagon.

Obviously I went straight for the lipsticks and purchased every colour available.

I am going to swatch and review each shade individually but overall I love these lipsticks to bits and wish I could have got my hands on more. From what I can tell I am only missing shades 004 Material World and 005 In His Kiss.

My only problem with them (And all the products from Dainty Doll) is that they have great names but they are only printed on the boxes, so once you get rid of those you are left with nothing more than a shade number.

Have you tried any of the Dainty Doll lipsticks? Especially the ones I am missing. I highly recommend them, and not just for the pale ladies either as I think the brighter colours would suit all.

Identity Crisis...

I am going to try and keep this brief but basically I had a major identity crisis and a mini melt down but I am back now and back to my original name. I have no idea what made me want to change my blog name in the first place but I did it, I wasn't happy with it, so I changed it back.

I want to apologies for messing everyone around and making things so confusing but I promise this is it now, no more name changes, just straight up lipstick.

As you may of noticed, I have had a bit of a face lift. That is all thanks to my gorgeous pal Fee over at Makeup Savvy. She really is ridiculously talented.

Fear not...

Fear not lipstick lovers, I am still here, just figuring things out and getting back in to the swing of things.

I noticed after my name change that I forgot to change the address on my Blog Lovin' account so that is now all sorted however I think you may need to refollow.

I will try and sort Hello Cotton out as soon as possible.
